Internet Service Issues

If you are experiencing issues connecting to the Internet, try unplugging the power to your DSL modem, and wait 10 seconds before plugging the power back in. Be patient, as it may take up to 5 minutes for your modem to reconnect back up to the Internet.

If you still are unable to connect to the Internet, try the following steps:

  • Verify that your modem has power.
  • If you have more than one computer, try a different computer.
  • Try rebooting your computer.
  • If you are using a wireless connection, please try connecting to the Internet from a computer that is connected to your modem via a network cable.
  • Make sure you have DSL filters placed on all of your phone devices, except for the modem itself.
  • Make sure that you have a phone cord connected directly between your "LINE" input on your modem, and that it is connected directly into a phone jack (no splitters, surge protectors, filters, etc).
  • If you have phone and DSL service, make sure your phone line if free of issues.
