Slow Connection

If your Internet experience seems slower than normal, please try the following steps to diagnose the issue, as our support team will have you perform the same tests.

  • Reboot your computer. It's possible your computer has an issue.
  • Try a different computer. It's still possible your computer has an issue.
  • Try a different website. It's possible there is an issue with your favorite site.
  • Unplug the power to your DSL modem, and wait 10 seconds before plugging the power back in. Be patient, as it may take up to 5 minutes for your modem to reconnect back up to the Internet.
  • Make sure that no one is running any high bandwidth applications, such as file sharing, torrents, or large downloads.
  • Run our speed test application. It is a localized test, which will yeild the most accurate results for you.
  • If you have phone and DSL service, make sure your phone line if free of issues.
